Thermal Printing Labels
Both thermal transfer labels and direct thermal transfer materials can be printed, either single-sided or double-sided. However, digital printers cannot be used to print direct thermal materials because they turn completely black when exposed to heat. Thermal paper can only be used on large printing presses, such as letterpress, VSOP or flexographic printing presses. Thermal transfer materials are suitable for all types of printing presses without specific restrictions.
Die Cut
Liyantian’s thermal labels roll are usually cut in a straight line. Some have round holes or other shaped holes on both sides of the label. Some dotted line or round holes are cut between the upper and lower sheets to facilitate tearing. Since thermal labels generally need to be processed in the printer, they are not suitable for special-shaped die-cutting.

- Thermal Transfer Labels: It is a material that needs a ribbon as the transfer medium. The surface material has strong selectivity. It can be different paper materials or plastic fabrics. According to different surface materials, choose the appropriate thermal material of the ribbon. It is a thermal material that the printer head transfers the attached ribbon to the surface material by heating. This requires the ribbon to match the width of the surface village. The labels printed out are resistant to chemical exposure and can be used in extreme temperatures or harsh environments, such as: labels for assets, outdoor furniture and warehouse floors.
- Direct Thermal Labels: It is a thermal coating on a paper or PP surface. No ink, toner or ribbon is required. When the printer head is heated, the surface layer of the material will change color when exposed to heat, and the printer requires precision. This material has a simple operation process, is cost-effective, and is suitable for large orders in a short period of time. This material will fade slowly over time when exposed to sunlight or heat, so this material is not suitable for long-term use. It is only suitable for short-term shipping labels, price, and temporary labeling.
